Aasha qualified as Chartered Accountant with Arthur Anderson. She then spent two years as a strategic analyst at Debenhams Retail Plc during which time she was also involved with preparing presentations to the city.
She realized very quickly that her true vocation was teaching and took her first training job in accounting and tax.
Aasha holds an MA (Cantab) in Natural Sciences, and is a Chartered Accountant. She was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst charter in 2005 and has also passed the FSA regulatory exams in Regulations, Securities and Derivatives. She has also passed the Investment Management Certificate.
Aasha has trained since 2000. She first trained trainee chartered accountants in accounting and tax. After this she spent 5 years training towards the FSA regulatory exams in Regulations, Securities and Derivatives, the Investment Management Certificate and also levels I and II of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program.
She then moved into non-exam training and spent over 7 years in corporate finance, training on graduate training programs as well as continuing education programs and delivering face to face training and also webinars. Her subjects include multiples and DCF valuation, excel modelling including merger and LBO
modelling and capital markets including debt, equity, credit and derivatives. Accounting training continues to be a key strength, in particular IFRS and US GAAP advanced topics such as pensions, leases, derivatives and accounting for mergers and acquisitions. She has trained globally, and often taught large classes with sizes of up to 250 participants. Clients past and present include Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, UBS, HSBC, Bank of America, Dresdner Kleinwort, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, Unicredit and Standard Chartered Bank.
