Andy Duncan

Business experience
Before his training career, Andy worked mainly within the world of finance operations and technology with spells at J.P. Morgan and UBS. He also gained the Certificate in Quantitative Finance to assist with his work in financial derivatives. Prior to working in the City of London, he carried out investment banking client work with Sun Microsystems and Oracle Corporation as a software developer and database designer. While with Sun Microsystems, he wrote two books for the popular technology publisher, O’Reilly, on Unix and database technologies.

Professional qualifications
Certificate of Quantitative Finance (CQF). BSc (Hons) Psychology (Sheffield University). Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner. CISI certificates in Derivatives, Securities, and Regulations.

Training history
With 15 years in technical training, Andy now focuses on financial theory and equity, commodity, and fixed income derivatives. He has worked with many of the leading investment houses in London, Dubai, Singapore, and New York.
In addition to technical financial training, because of his background in psychology and NLP, Andy also runs several professional practice courses including presentation skills, communication skills, and creative and critical thinking skills.
Andy is also an interviewer and podcaster for, preparing and presenting interviews discussing the current state of the financial world and the future developments of money with many of the world’s leading financial figures, economists, and politicians. This includes his special interest in international finance, and the Austrian School of Economics.
