As a people-centred business, our clients and employees sit at the heart of what we do; we recognise that culture drives our client experience, which in turn drives successful company performance. Our ‘One Alpha’ approach is focused on cross-team communication and collaboration, centred on our global teams including sales, programme management and product. We hold monthly company updates, with quarterly targets set across teams; all employees have individual objective set and regular one to one meetings with their managers. We offer employees comprehensive annual leave, a company pension, company-paid life assurance, private medical cover (after 1 year), as well as a contribution towards gym/fitness membership, cycle to work scheme and employee assistance programme. As well as offering each employee two paid days to undertake voluntary work per year, we also provide enhanced company maternity pay and take a supportive approach to those requiring flexible working arrangements.
Our values are important to how we work and recruit; anyone joining Alpha will be asked to demonstrate their commitment to them. Professional: We work to the highest of quality standards, to help our clients achieve their ambitions. Accountable: We are all accountable for the commercial success of our firm, we are responsible, and we learn from experience. Team-Focused: Our objective is team success, and we develop individuals’ potential to help achieve this. Innovative: We actively encourage innovation and creativity to facilitate development and growth. Open and Honest: We respect and value others by communicating appropriately, openly and with honesty.
I have been with Alpha for 2.5 years as a Programme Manager for the US market. What I love about working here is the professionalism, accountability and authenticity of the team. The autonomy my role provides to execute smooth delivery of training programmes within a robust framework that can be flexed to meet clients’ needs is fantastic. Alpha’s commitment to learning and development is encouraging and as an organisation that leads the way in this space it is inspiring to know that your learning needs and progression are important to the company.
I joined Alpha Development in February 2019, as Head of Apprenticeships which means I am responsible for the Apprentices that we train for our clients. I think the way that Alpha responded to the COVID-19 pandemic as an employer says a lot about the culture of the company – it was supportive and caring. Additional policies were quickly put in to help anyone who was affected, and we regularly received updates on the impact to the company. As things start to return to normal I look forward to working and socialising with my colleagues face to face again.
