Exercises: Cleaning EBITDA and net income to calculate growth margins for case companies

The Balance Sheet

Tangible assets and depreciation
Accruals and deferred income
Working capital and the operating cycle
Financial leverage
Equity and return on assets

Exercises: Calculating depreciation, PPE, capex, goodwill, OWC and net debt for case companies

The Cash Flow Statement

How to prepare a cash flow statement
Cash flow statements for credit analysis
Free cash flow for DCF valuation

Exercises: Building a cash flow statement from the income statement and balance sheet

Financial Ratio Analysis

Key investor ratios and margins
Return on Capital (ROIC) and Return on Equity (ROE)
Operating working capital ratios
Analysing liquidity, solvency and financial leverage
