This Professional Wellbeing course explores what it means to flourish at work.

It can be easy to be all-consumed with productivity, deadlines, and trying to please those around us. Before we know it, our mental and physical health is being compromised, meaning we need to work even harder to continue to perform. At best this can lead to a lapse in performance and low-level stress. At worst this can lead to burnout.

Participants will explore how to prioritise their mental and physical wellbeing whilst being fully engaged in their role.

  • Understanding the PERMA model: Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishments
  • Your wellbeing wheel: Where do you need to focus your attention?

  • Keeping hold of your stability rocks
  • The best way to rest
  • Managing ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts)

Embedding Success

Post programme activities to support the transfer of learning and building of habits.


When you catch yourself having an ANT write it down. Start to look for themes in the thoughts you are having. Put these thoughts on trial with a trusted colleague.


Start an accomplishments journal. At the end of each day write down three things you have achieved. Even if these accomplishments are tiny, write them down!


Start using your rest time to ensure you’re as rested as possible. Go for a walk, talk to a friend or play a game. Engage in anything that will rest your brain and get those feel good hormones flowing.
