CompTIA Network+ helps develop a career in IT infrastructure covering troubleshooting, configuring, and managing networks. It is an internationally recognised industry qualification.

It has recently been updated and reorganised to address the current networking technologies with expanded coverage of several domains by adding:

– Critical security concepts to helping networking professionals work with security practitioners
– Key cloud computing best practices and typical service models
– Coverage of newer hardware and virtualisation techniques
– Concepts to give individuals the combination of skills to keep the network resilient

This course concludes with a 90 minute exam. There are a maximum of 90 multiple choice questions. The passing score is 720 (on a scale of 100 – 900). The exam can be taken online or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

Suitability

This is a classroom course complemented by an extensive amount of e-learning for anyone starting their career in I.T. It lays the foundations to understand and build I.T. networks and will be invaluable for employees working in Cyber Security.

Networking Concepts – Explain the purpose of a variety of networking concepts and implement them appropriately
Infrastructure – Determine and explain the appropriate cabling, device and storage technologies
Network Operations – Use best practices to manage the network, determine policies & ensure business continuity
Network Security – Summarise physical security and common attacks while securing the wired and wireless network
Network Troubleshooting Tools – Explain the network troubleshooting methodology and appropriate tools to support connectivity and performance
