Data analytics for large MEA public sector employer

Client

This Finance Ministry has an ambitious vision to re-skill public sector employees across a range of Digital Future Skills. They asked Alpha to design and develop a Data Analytics program to be rolled out across a large population in Arabic.

Client Objectives

The brief was to start with the basics of data in Excel, and by day 5 have the participants producing reports in PowerBI. This is usually not too challenging, and yet there were more interesting parts of the request.

To make it more applied to the participants’ roles, we were able to use large sets of public data from the country, applicable to different parts of the economy and government budgets.

Our Solution

As well as course materials, we produced thorough trainer briefings, and ran TTT sessions, because our content was to be delivered by the client’s local faculty.

And finally, as all content was in Arabic, the bespoke material had to be delivered by our bilingual faculty.

Success for our Client

This government department was closely involved in the co-creation of content. So after the successful pilot, they were happy to take ownership and continue rolling out to many hundreds of learners.

Why Alpha?

It was important for our client that this content brought best practice Data Analytics from around the world but placed it firmly in the context of this MEA country. We were pleased to bring faculty contributors ranging from US to Australian time zones, and to run the project out of our Abu Dhabi hub with local expertise.
